HOUSTON, TEXAS – (April 21, 2025) — The Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) welcomed 5,541 attendees from 59 countries and all 50 U.S. states, including Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico, to its Annual Conference + Expo 2025, held at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee. This year’s event brought together professionals from across the corrosion and coatings industries for four days of education, innovation, and connection.
The conference featured 370 exhibiting companies across 67,000 net square feet, 45 industry sponsors, and an expansive lineup of technical sessions, panels, and networking opportunities. Attendees explored cutting-edge research, materials advancements, and real-world applications in corrosion control and protective coatings.
“The 2025 show had an energy that was contagious,” said Greg Muha, AMPP’s Director of Conferences, Exhibits, and Sponsorships. “Monday’s keynote presentation by Mike Massimino set the tone that really made the event lift off.”
In addition to the inspiring keynote from former NASA astronaut and author Mike Massimino, the conference included Honoree Night at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the EMERGing Leaders Bash, and recognition of innovation through the Corrosion Innovation of the Year and Student Poster Awards.
“We have received numerous inputs from attendees, presenters, exhibitors, and sponsors that this year has been fruitful for them and worth the investment of their time and resources,” Muha added. “The positive impact our members and customers have on the industries we serve is truly amazing, and my team and I are tremendously grateful for the contributions that help bring this important industry event to life.”
AMPP also announced that its next Annual Conference + Expo will be held March 15–19, 2026, in Houston, Texas, home to the organization’s global headquarters. Planning is already underway, with the Exhibit Hall more than 60% sold.
