AMPP Training

Access AMPP Training at no cost through the Hampton Roads Workforce Council

AMPP is now an approved eligible training provider of the Hampton Roads Workforce Council. This will allow those in the Hampton Roads area to access AMPP courses and certifications at no cost. See below for qualifications and to fill out the form to get started.

AMPP courses and certifications available for funding:

Required documentation:

  • Valid Driver’s License or ID AND Signed Social Security Card OR other applicable I9 documents
  • Address verification (if different from your ID)
  • Copy of DD214 (if applicable)
  • Selective Service Verification at www.SSS.gov (if applicable)
  • Complete RMTS Application

Eligibility:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Registered for Selective Service (if applicable)
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Unemployed or underemployed
  • Resident in the Coastal Virginia or Northeast North Carolina Regions

Who is the Hampton Roads Workforce Council?

The Hampton Roads Workforce Council drives the Regional Maritime Training System (RMTS), an initiative dedicated to developing a skilled maritime workforce in the Hampton Roads area. Understanding the importance of accessible training in advancing careers, the Council provides financial support to qualified individuals, helping to cover the costs of enrolling in approved maritime training programs.
