AMPP Craftmanship Award

This award recognizes individuals who exhibit excellence and professionalism in their craft through natural talent, passion, dedication, discipline, and determination to deliver a superior product. No level of formal education is required for a candidate for this award. 

This award includes all corrosion technologies, for example: coating applicators, abrasive blasters, cathodic protection survey and/or installations, corrosion monitoring and control, destructive testing inspectors, etc. The candidate is recognized for their superior craftsman traits of quality of work, creativity, dealing with complexity of challenges, safety, considering the site conditions, and delivering the final product. Team leaders are also eligible for this award, so long as they demonstrate the traits listed above for individuals.

Guidelines

Maximum 12 awards per year
Membership is required
Self-nomination is not allowed

Eligibility criteria applicable for all awards categories:

Nominator

  • Individuals, organizations and companies can be nominations – see each award category for specific restrictions. 
  • Self-nominations are only allowed for specific awards and are identified on each award description page. 

Nominee

  • No posthumous nominations will be accepted.
  • Past chairs of AMPP and AMPP Global Center, Past Presidents and Past Chairs of legacy NACE and SSPC: Eligible for nomination only for accomplishments performed after their term on the respective boards.
  • Members of AMPP and AMPP Global Center Boards of Directors, members of the Awards Committee, Awards Task Forces chairs: Eligible for nomination only after their terms in the respective bodies.
  • The restriction applies to Individual Awards and Honors for sitting members of both AMPP Boards, and the Awards Committee.
  • An individual or corporation is only eligible for a single award each calendar year. However, an individual may receive the Fellow Honor in addition to any other award in the same year.
